UK Broker Awards (2020) Shortlist

TEn Insurance Services is delighted to announce, that James Noble CERT CII, Managing Director of My First UK (aka Young People Ltd), a network member, has been shortlisted for the Young Broker of the Year at the UK Broker Awards in September.

My First joined the TEn network, as an Appointed Representative, in June 2016. James and his business partner, George Abbott, first approached TEn in 2015, with what can only be described as an ambitious business plan, focused on the traditionally challenging business segment of young drivers. Nevertheless, they were very determined and persuasive, albeit, very young.

In 2019, My First was shortlisted both at the British Insurance Awards and the UK Broker Awards in the Start-Up of the Year category at both events. Sadly, pipped at the post on both occasions, but a testimony at least to the success of their business model.

Comments TEn Managing Director, Dawn Derbyshire: -

“I am so pleased for James, this nomination is richly deserved. Last year, our very own Dan Taylor won this Award and it would be wonderful for the TEn community to collect it two years in a row.

Unfortunately, collecting it in 2020 is not going to be an option. Should James win, I suspect DHL may play a part in the delivery of it.”

Enjoyed this? Why not share it?

Site map coming fairly soon...

...by mid-November probably.

The site map will be an aid to navigation around our various websites. Of course, these sites have just undergone a major structural update and things are still changing.

So, it’s a bit like when a supermarket periodically shifts things around, either, just for the hell of it, or, because they have decided to squeeze in a click & collect point, where the bread used to be.

As stuff relocates, consequently, leaving the signs above the ends of the aisles as they were before, could become confusing.

Our current situation here is very similar.

Mind you, whether before or after the reorganisation, you can never find the Tahini paste. You always have to ask.
